Aims of my news program

My news program will feature local and current news stories, which will cover the biggest stories throughout the island of Jersey. It is important in the news to have a section which exclusively covers current events, however, during my news program I wish to include other topics, including a sports section and news on the weather. As Jersey is an island with many beaches than infomation based on the tide and surfing conditions should be given, as the island has a large surfing culture. Given that the news bulletin will only last for five minutes it will be important to be brief and only cover the main stories, so therefore current affairs, sport and weather will all be included in my bulletin.
