Features of the broadcast

There are a number of different features that I will use in this broadcast, the running order will be:

Opening Jingle
This will include a very brief roundup of the headlines that will be discussed in the show, as well as offering an opening to the radio broadcast

Current Affairs
This will be a normal news presenter that will inform listeners about the main stories, giving in depth details about the nature of each off the main stories

Vox pop
This will be included within the current affair section, where the presenter will pass over to a correspondant who will be asking questions of the general public, based on a certain news story.

Sports Correspondant
This will feature all the sports news, as the sports specialist will give details about the island's sporting stories.

Weather
This will include infomation regarding the tides and surfing conditions off the island, as well as the standard weather infomation.

Summary
This will be concluded by the main presenter who will offer a short round-up of the stories that had previously been discussed.

Closing Jingle
This will be similar if not the same to the opening jingle, this will be the rounding up and closing to the news bulletin.


Timescale

Given that this is just a 5 minute broadcast is important to be brief, whilst covering the stories. The estimated time for each section should therefore be around this:

Opening Jingle - 10-15 seconds
Main News Headlines and coverage of the stories 2 - 3 minutes (The main headlines will include the vox pops and interviews relating to a specific story
Sport - 1 - 1 1/2 minutes
Summary and weather - 30 Seconds
Closing Jingle - 5 seconds
